Introduction

Motivated by excellence

Sébastien Drillon has more than 10 years' experience in negotiating different types of contracts with SMEs and major groups, acquired when he was a lawyer at the national scientific research centre.

In constant contact with researchers in the field of materials and biotechnology, this experience allows him to now have a high level of expertise in intellectual property and negotiation.

At the same time, he pursued a thesis on the protection of software by patent invention, which he supported at CEIPI in 2012, giving him a clear competence on issues relating to software and more generally digital.

In an effort to share his knowledge, he is present at the University of Strasbourg (CEIPI, UFR Mathematical-Informatique) and at the University of Haute-Alsace and regularly publishes in journals (Jurisclasseur, Propriétés Intellectuelles, RTD Com).

Sébastien Drillon today brings to his clients all his expertise in intellectual property and more generally in business law.

Fees

On our first appointment we will discuss your case, but also, in a matter of transparency, the question of fees, which will be the subject of an agreement.

Fees may take two forms:

  1. a lump sum fee:This method of invoicing is usually proposed for standard files, for which it is possible to determine in advance the due diligences to be performed, and thus, to determine a lump sum total amount which will correspond to the assumption of all the diligences performed in the file.
  2. Hourly fee:An hourly rate is agreed on the first appointment and will be applied for all the stages to be performed in the file. The time spent in the file will be charged to the real, based on the agreed hourly rate.

Result fee

This Fee is a complementary Fee, which adds to one of the two fees mentioned above (facility or past time). This is a percentage granted to the lawyer on the gains obtained in the proceedings or on the savings achieved by the result obtained by the lawyer. The terms and conditions of the profit fee will be determined under a fee agreement, so that you can have a clear vision of what you are committing to.
